Lost & Found

Losing a pet is scary and could happen to anyone.

If you've lost your pet, please check our Lost & Found page often, and be sure to reach out and let us know if we should be on the lookout.

Find your new, furry family member at the HSBC! We provide adoptions for both cats and dogs. All interested adopters should fill out our pre-application and submit for review.

Check out the Live Feed from the Community Cat Room on the Cat Adoption Page.

The Humane Society of Burnett County is always seeking volunteers to help us accomplish our mission.  There are quite a few volunteering opportunities available to fit your time and skill set. Orientation and training is provided at the shelter.

Hi! My name is Louie!!

Hi - my name is Louie and I am a very sweet young lad wanting to find someone to love and a safe home. I weigh in at 36 pounds so not that big, can be a little shy at first but am told I am a friendly boy. Sending out good wishes and dreams for a forever home and a family of my own.

Hi! My name is Marion!

Marion is a gorgeous tortoiseshell shorthair who weighs in at a petite seven-pounds and is one-year-old. Marion came to HSBC as a young mother, and now that her kitten-rearing days are behind her, she would enjoy quiet time in a new household. This sweet girl loves people of all ages and is good with other cats. While she loves a good cuddle, Marion is also a big fan of chasing lights across the floor. She would enjoy meeting you!

Here are some things we always need:

  • Laundry detergent
  • Bleach
  • Bleach wipes
  • Creamy Peanut Butter

Pickles did not answer to that name, but I call my twin granddaughters mamas. And she answer to that So that’s her name. She thinks she is the lady of the house. Tries to answer the phone or the door. She is territorial. Doesn’t like strangers coming in. She plays fetch  (only when she wants). Will sit on my laps to watch TV with us. When Martin was really sick she put her mouse  (favorite toy) in his hand while he slept. I could go on. But then we would need to bring a lunch. Thank you for giving us...

Thanks for checking up on the wonderful experience I had recently with HSBC.   When I stopped in “just to see” I had my mind set on a very young female kitten.  However….when I went back to see the kittens, there he was: This beautiful grey handsome ChaChi walking among the others and my heart stopped and I couldn’t even SEE any other cats!  When I found out he was male and about 6 months old, it didn’t matter that I didn’t want a male cat, lol.  I fell in love with that little guy and once I held him, I...

Just wanted to check in and give you an update about Nanook. Nanook has been such a great puppy and our family loves her so much. Immi and Nanook have been getting along really well also, much better than I expected actually. Their favorite activity together is tug of war 🙂 I’m excited to start running this fall with her and skijoring next winter. We started puppy classes last Sunday and she is doing so well with her training, she is a smart pup. Also, please thank Christy for her early crate training and potty training. With her having those...

Hi there!  We are loving our rambunctious little addition to the family and she just seems to be right at home right from the start.  We did change her name after we got to know her personality and between the 4 grandkids and the 3 moms and dads we decided she was “Phoebe”.  It seems to fit her.  She love love loves when the grandkids come over. She likes the attention they give her and looks for them after they leave. Our other cat Lilly seems to tolerate her great.  She’s used to just laying around with our other...

Good Evening Pam I knew when I saw BB online that somehow she was meant to be mine. She has settled in well to her new home. She is a very welcome addition to my family. Attached is a video of her watching the Puppy Bowl over the weekend. She is still too excited to sit for a selfie. We will be working on that though, training and puppy daycare is in her near future. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be her new family.
