Donations & Memberships

The Humane Society of Burnett County, Inc. helps hundreds of animals each year. Without your support, these animals wouldn't have a place to go.

HSBC accepts monetary donations, but there are several other ways to help out! Click to learn more.

Lost & Found

Losing a pet is scary and could happen to anyone.

If you've lost your pet, please check our Lost & Found page often, and be sure to reach out and let us know if we should be on the lookout.

Adopt

Find your new, furry family member at the HSBC! We provide adoptions for both cats and dogs. All interested adopters should fill out our pre-application and submit for review.

Check out the Live Feed from the Community Cat Room on the Cat Adoption Page.

Volunteer

The Humane Society of Burnett County is always seeking volunteers to help us accomplish our mission.  There are quite a few volunteering opportunities available to fit your time and skill set. Orientation and training is provided at the shelter.

Hi! My name is Louie!!

Hi - my name is Louie and I am a very sweet young lad wanting to find someone to love and a safe home. I weigh in at 36 pounds so not that big, can be a little shy at first but am told I am a friendly boy. Sending out good wishes and dreams for a forever home and a family of my own.

Hi! My name is Marion!

Marion is a gorgeous tortoiseshell shorthair who weighs in at a petite seven-pounds and is one-year-old. Marion came to HSBC as a young mother, and now that her kitten-rearing days are behind her, she would enjoy quiet time in a new household. This sweet girl loves people of all ages and is good with other cats. While she loves a good cuddle, Marion is also a big fan of chasing lights across the floor. She would enjoy meeting you!

I apologize for forgetting to respond to your original email. Bell Bosco is doing great. She has been a super addition to our house and is growing like crazy. I attached a more recent picture of her snuggling with our son.

STELLA

January 11, 2019

Sorry that it has taken a while to reply back about miss Stella. My husband isn’t the best about replying to emails so he forwarded the message to me. Stella is a very interesting cat and like no one we’ve had before. She has this incredible tolerance for our four year old daughter, Cecilia. Ceci can carry her around and often puts her in the stroller for her dolls. Stella seems to enjoy every minute of it. She is the queen of the animals of the house and both or our large dogs know she runs the show. She isn’t...

BAILEY (KHALEESI)

January 11, 2019

Her name is now changed to BAILEY.  She is doing great, gets along great with the cows and other animals.  We are still working on the chickens, she does think they are fun.

KEVIN (SQUANCHY)

January 9, 2019

I’m sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. Since we adopted Kevin (aka Squanchy) he has brought nothing but joy to our lives. He and his older brother Ned have become inseparable. The girls don’t even mind him. He loves to play and get into things. When we got our Christmas tree Kevin rearranged the bulbs to his liking. His favorite thing in the whole world is the red dot. He snuggles with me every night. We just love him so much!!!!! I’ll attach a picture of Ned and Kevin. Kevin is the one on top.
