SKYWALKER (BLAZE)

Thank you so much for your email, and I deeply apologize for the delay in my response! It has been nearly seven months since I first adopted my little guy from the Humane Society of Burnett County and I am so glad I did.

I adopted ‘Blaze’ from the shelter, but both of us decided his real name would be Skywalker, and that is what we changed it to. Hahaha.

The first few months were spent adjusting – both he and I! He is a high energy little fellow, and would miss me when I had to go to work, and when I came home tired, he was overjoyed to finally play while I needed to rest from the strain of the day. For a while I worried I was going to have to take him back to the shelter, and even wrote a couple Facebook messages asking if this was a possibility. I blamed myself for not being a good ‘cat daddy,’ but I wanted him to live the best life possible, because he was the sweetest little kitty (albeit a mischievous one) I had ever met and I loved him.

Over time though, through patience, hard work, and lots and lots of love, both of us started adjusting fully to each other’s routine, and he is my forever furry child (there never truly was any doubt). I love him dearly, and am considering getting a sibling from Burnett County Humane Society this January!

Thank you for everything. I absolutely adore your shelter and the care you give these precious creatures.
