Humane Society of Burnett County offers a 21-day adjustment period within which you
can evaluate the pet’s progress and your adoption decision. If, within those 21 days,
you determine your recently adopted pet isn’t a good fit or you find yourself unable to
provide necessary medical care, you may return the animal and receive a refund of the
pet’s adoption fee minus $75 service charge. If you made a deposit on spay or neuter
surgery, those funds will be refunded in full. After 21 days if you find you must surrender
your pet, no adoption fees will be refunded.

adopted pet with advice and training tips. If you are uncertain about adoption, please
note that HSBC offers a foster to adopt option for adult dogs or cats only.
