AKSEL (MAX)
January 21, 2025
Thank you for following up. Goodness, I don’t even know where to begin!
Aksel (formerly Max) has fit right in at his new home. He is a total cuddle bug, the sweetest boy. He sure does make it hard to leave for work, in the best possible way!
He made it blatantly clear from day one that kennels are a no-go for him, and he is respectful of the house when he is left out for the day. He is still learning to be calm around his rabbit and bird siblings, but he is making great progress in this area.
Aksel is such a gentleman, walks great on the leash and hasn’t had a single accident. His husky side has come out, and now that he has settled in, he is fond of “talking.” His vocalizations are the cutest and he hardly ever barks, even when we get knocks on the door.
I was curious about his ancestry so I did a DNA test on him. The results make so much sense looking at him: 50% Siberian Husky, 27.5% Chinese Shar-Pei (those little ears!), 13.8% American Pit Bull Terrier, and 8.7% Rottweiler. I call him 100% good boy!
I am so grateful for the staff at HSBC for suggesting him when I asked if there was anyone else they would recommend I meet, since the dogs I had planned to meet ended up not being matches. At first his size intimidated me, him being the largest dog I’ve ever had by 20lbs, but not any longer! He is a kind soul, and a great companion for me. He wins over everyone he meets with his gentle demeanor and love of attention.
I’ve attached a couple recent photos of him living his best life and enriching mine. So grateful to have found him.
