ELEANOR/ELLIE (ANNIE)

June 4, 2020

Apologies for the delayed response, I have been enjoying Annie (now known as Eleanor or Ellie) so much I completely missed your first email.

I will get some information together and some pictures. (Maybe not a picture of her currently as she has herself completely buried under her favorite blanket.) Eleanor did have a great adventure this weekend going to get curbside pickup at an ice cream shop complete with a frost paws ice cream for her.

Hello everyone who took such good care of me!

It’s an update from me, Annie, but I now go by Eleanor/Ellie! Since I was adopted in March I have been settling in and experiencing many new things.

Some of my favorite things are (in order of how much I like them):

– Napping under soft blankets or sheets (no need to cover me with them, I can get under them or toss them over my head on my own.)

– Hotdogs (for training, my mom tries to give me better dog treats but I only pay attention to the hot dogs) and PIZZA (I love to stare at it but my mom will not give me any!)

– Squirrels (Their fluffy tails get me every time.)

– Rolling in the lush manicured grass in the park near my house. (Luckily my mom accepts my favorite things and lets me roll often even if it doubles how long a walk takes!)

– My mom (Mom, if you read this and disagree with your ranking, see what I said about pizza!)

– Sitting in the sun in my bed on the deck (I love that warm sun on my wired hair, it feels so nice!)

I am working on learning obedience and to not be less reactive to things like loud vehicles and some people that scare me, but my mom and I have some help from this person my mom calls a trainer that comes over to help me. I am working on becoming a confident terrier on the inside and not just on the outside. Every day I get better and better. Some days I give mom a little bit of attitude when I don’t want to do what she wants me to. My mom said she would include a picture of me giving her some attitude. My mom said it’s really hard when I give her attitude because I do it in such a cute way! Ha ha I am pretty cute.

Speaking of cute…. everyday random strangers of the street will stop and tell me just how cute of a doggy I am. Many of them think I am a puppy but I am not. I am 7 years old! I have gotten so use to this that if someone has not told me how cute I am today, I put on my extra cute face and stare at people until they say I am cute.

Thank you all who helped me to find my new home and mommy! I love everything about it every day! I gotta go, my mom just opened a Frosty Paws for me!

From,

Eleanor
