FREYA (MINION)

November 26, 2025

Sure, I can give you an update. She’s had quite the journey since she’s come into our home. Her initial name was Minion and we have renamed her Freya.

We had some medical hiccups with her, she needed an emergent spay which was paired with a severe uterine infection and an ear infection upon getting her. After her spay she was doing great and then had a seizure. An ER visit and some testing resulted in a month course of meds for toxoplasmosis.

We are just now getting to where she is starting to feel stable and comfortable and not like her world is going to keep changing. She is very easygoing and is getting along well with our other cat. She spent a lot of time in the beginning sleeping and I think just enjoying the quiet. She’s just now starting to hang out more with us. So hopefully someday she’ll feel comfortable for more snuggles. But we’ll keep going on her terms.

She loves the windows and being able to watch the wildlife on our property. And she will greet us and seems happy to see us when we come home. She loves to rub against us for pets and really enjoys playing with strings. Food is also her love language, so getting bits of chicken or treats make her day.

We love her so far and hope she continues to thrive in our care.
