The “Ladies,” as I now call them, are doing well and thriving in their forever home.

America is now Leona. Monica is now big Lou Lou. She is a bit overweight hence the word “big” in front of Lou Lou. However, on a positive note, she is losing weight. Most, if not all of the weight loss, is due to exercise … she runs up and down stairs … and then she and Leona have episodes of chasing each other around the house.

Leona is a love bug … she loves to love and to be loved. Frequently at night I will wake to her purring head pushing against my head … and/or whiskers and purrs in my ear (the whisker tickle) as she shares her happy love.

People said, when I adopted them, that they had hit the jackpot for a forever home. My conclusion is that I am actually the one that hit the jackpot because they have added so much joy and comfort to my life and home.
