Yes I helped a relative (who is disabled) adopt a cat named Shadow, which he renamed Lucy.  His previous cat that passed away earlier this year was named Shadow.  Lucy was a sponsored cat which helped very much as Ryan lives only on social security.  I’ve been over to his apartment a few times and Lucy seems to be doing quite well.  She was cautious of course at first but never really tried to hide and didn’t seem scared at all.  She is eating normally and using the litter box with no issues.  She is a very friendly and sweet cat.  He only leaves his apartment to go to medical appts so he is home with her at all times and he is very happy to have a companion.
