RUBY

October 29, 2019

I called Ruby’s adoptive parent, Beverly, to get an update. Beverly is a volunteer at HSBC and happened to be at the shelter when poor little Ruby came in. A good Samaritan found Ruby on the side of the road with an injured leg. Unfortunately, Ruby’s leg had to be amputated. Beverly volunteered to foster Ruby after her surgery and is what the shelter likes to call a “Foster Fail” because Beverly ended up adopting Ruby. Beverly says that Ruby won the household and is doing really well. She bonded with the dogs the first day. Took the cats a little longer, but Ruby is best buddies with the 30 pound cat there. Beverly said that Ruby even calmed down the dog that didn’t care for cats, and now that dog loves Ruby. Sounds like a happy ending for a pitiful kitten that needed rescuing and was all alone and scared! Thanks Beverly!
