IRIS AND SPARROW (JOSIE)
January 26, 2025
Iris and Josie (now known as Sparrow) are a hoot! I know Iris wasn’t at the shelter for long and was never featured. But Sparrow definitely was so let me give you a little update on her. Sparrow was the kitten found under the hood of a vehicle. After adopting both girls we went to the vet. Her eye itself has some damage due to trauma, most likely from being under the hood. But her inflamed eyelid was treatable and has gotten so much better, it is no longer protruding or inflamed. We will be doing a follow-up on the trauma to her eye now that we can see the damage and assess it. But it does not slow her down at all. They both love to run around and play. Iris will definitely be the boss babe. Sparrow just loves everyone cat, dog, or human She is just happy to be in a home. We chose Sparrow’s name due to her eye issue. I felt she needed to be named after a pirate so who better than Captain Jack Sparrow! And I definitely feel she acts like him with her antics. This is my first time adopting two kittens at once and I would highly recommend it for anyone thinking about it. Just watching them run around and play is a riot. Then when all goes quiet and you see them curled up together is the best. Here’s a couple pictures of the girls. I’ve been meaning to send an update to you so I’m glad you reached out. Feel free to reword or cut and paste this to Facebook, I know it’s lengthy.
