A Letter from Joanne Manning, Board President
Welcome to the Spring edition of the Woof Report, the newsletter that celebrates all the pawsitive impact we’re making at the Humane Society of Burnett County (HSBC). In this issue of the newsletter, we are thrilled to share the incredible progress and achievements we’ve made, thanks to your unwavering support and dedication.
First, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who generously backed our annual fundraiser, The Bark and Wine, held in April. Wow, what an amazing response from our community. Your overwhelming love and commitment to HSBC has left us humbled and deeply appreciative. We couldn’t have asked for a more successful event, and it’s all because of you—our remarkable attendees, the support from local businesses, and the incredible show of solidarity. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your unwavering support.
At HSBC, we firmly believe that our success hinges on the collective efforts of our volunteers, staff, community, and partners. You are the heart and soul of our organization.
Whether you’re a selfless volunteer giving your time, a tireless staff member ensuring the well-being of our animals, a passionate community member advocating for our cause, or an invaluable partner standing by our side, each and every one of you plays a vital role in our journey. Together, we are stronger and can achieve so much more.

Joanne’s unwavering dedication and profound impact on our mission are truly inspiring.
As we enter this joyous spring season, filled with new beginnings and blooming flowers, let’s remember the importance of love and companionship. Our beloved furry friends bring us immeasurable joy and unconditional love. They remind us of the beauty of kindness and compassion. So, let’s make a promise to them—to be their voice, their protectors, and their advocates.
