Thank you for your email. I’ve been meaning to send a follow-up to HSBC to say how happy we are with Ella (we decided to keep the name she had, given that she seemed to know and respond to it). She really is the greatest cat – playful, affectionate, curious, and smart as a whip – and we take great delight in her companionship daily. She adjusted to our home rather quickly, perhaps because she is our only pet, and she seems to like us as much as we like her!

Tomorrow she’ll have her first vet visit since she’s been with us (all the local vets were booked several months out), so we’ll see how that goes, but I imagine they’ll find her in good health. Her appetite has been good, she lets me trim her nails on occasion, and she loves to be brushed, so we do that regularly.
