We adopted Morty in November of last year, and when our dog passed, we adopted Rick in April (previously known as Grumpy). We adopted a second cat, because something changed in Morty when we lost our dog, and we knew he was lonely during the days we were at work. Rick was very scared when we first got him and went into hiding the first couple of days. Now, they are a bonded pair. They spend their days wrestling and napping together on the couch. Morty loves to spend his time outside chasing squirrels in the backyard and running up trees. Rick is content in the house, on someone’s lap. He is what they call a “velcro cat.” He never leaves our side when we are home and he is always at the door waiting for our return. They are very happy kitties.
