They are doing AWESOME!

Leif was renamed Max, short for Maximus. My sweetest, most handsome big boy! He sleeps with me and is an extreme cuddle bug. He is the perfect mix of playful and lazy. He’s quite the eater and can be found begging and swatting at my plate for food. I’ve never had a cat like him before. He’s had soft stool ever since we brought him home, so we’ve been figuring that out with our vet and hope it gets better soon, a course of panacur and probiotics and a switch to sensitive stomach food for both of them.

Ginny was renamed Lily, short for Liliana. She our little peanut and a ball of energy. She’s much more playful than Max and more bold and independent too! When we brought her home she was afraid of the tv and reflections (made sense given she was a stray and probably never in a home), but after a couple of days, nothing but bravery from this little girl! She is now finally sleeping some of the night with us, but she can be found near the foot of the bed, unlike Max who prefers to be under the covers with his paws on my shoulders or my face. I often wonder what his life was like with his previous owners. I understand neighbors had cared for him after the death of one of his original owners and they had to eventually surrender him.

We love them both so much! They are definitely living a good life now! My camera roll has soooo many pictures, but I’ve selected a few of my favorites.

Thanks for taking them in and giving them a new lease on life with us. They will be cherished family members for many years to come!
