Lost & Found

Losing a pet is scary and could happen to anyone.

If you've lost your pet, please check our Lost & Found page often, and be sure to reach out and let us know if we should be on the lookout.

Find your new, furry family member at the HSBC! We provide adoptions for both cats and dogs. All interested adopters should fill out our pre-application and submit for review.

Check out the Live Feed from the Community Cat Room on the Cat Adoption Page.

The Humane Society of Burnett County is always seeking volunteers to help us accomplish our mission.  There are quite a few volunteering opportunities available to fit your time and skill set. Orientation and training is provided at the shelter.

Hi! My name is Louie!!

Hi - my name is Louie and I am a very sweet young lad wanting to find someone to love and a safe home. I weigh in at 36 pounds so not that big, can be a little shy at first but am told I am a friendly boy. Sending out good wishes and dreams for a forever home and a family of my own.

Hi! My name is Marion!

Marion is a gorgeous tortoiseshell shorthair who weighs in at a petite seven-pounds and is one-year-old. Marion came to HSBC as a young mother, and now that her kitten-rearing days are behind her, she would enjoy quiet time in a new household. This sweet girl loves people of all ages and is good with other cats. While she loves a good cuddle, Marion is also a big fan of chasing lights across the floor. She would enjoy meeting you!

Here are some things we always need:

  • Laundry detergent
  • Bleach
  • Bleach wipes
  • Creamy Peanut Butter
  • Milk Bone Dog Biscuits

She is an angel, well maybe not! ha!  I kept her name, Flora, because I knew she had been taken care of since birth by a human and that human called her Flora.  At first she was attached to my hip but slowly she ventured to play. She loves the toy mice and has one favorite that she bats around and somehow it gets in a closet, then she comes to me to open the closet door, or she’ll sit staring at the door.  She is very smart.  The first couple of nights she slept an inch from my face,...

Hello Pam, Decker, now known as Monster, is loved by his little man who we adopted him for. His name fits the personality 🙂 It took about a week for Monster and our other kitty Meow Meow to warm up to each other. As you can tell, both cats were named by our son 🙂 Now that everyone is settled in, it is constant chasing, wrestling, play fighting, and cuddles. Monster sleeps with our soon to be 5 year old but always checks in to our 10 month old when he hears him crying. He comes and rubs up on...

Hello! We adopted Optimus and have renamed him Shadow. He is adapting well…loves my kids and his new large cat tree house we bought him. He is very playful but also so sweet. It has taken a bit of time but our other cats have warmed up to him too, mostly due to his persistence! I have attached a photo of Shadow (he’s the small black one) with his housemates. Needless to say we are smitten with our kitten!

We love our little boy! He has been such a nice addition. He is very energetic, curious, and loving. Cheech likes to spend his days beating up his toys and eating. He loves his laser light and treat time, the most! Cheech likes to follow Mommy around and lets my 4 year old daughter put him in her baby stroller. He LOVES ATTENTION. He sleeps by my head EVERY night! He is very vocal and talks back quite often. He still has the unimpressed look about him that I fell in love with! We are so happy to have him....

Hi Pam, my husband and I are thrilled to have found Sargent. We were thinking of changing his name, but it fits him. He really is a big gentle dog. He gets along with our cat which I was worried about but they get along fine. I will be taking him for training to reinforce his commands. He is silly and makes us laugh with his antics. I am training him to find treats around the house hiding them in various places and heights. He loves this game and the more we do it the better he is. We will...
