MCKINLEY WILLIAM DIEHL/MICK (KAI)

By Pam Cunningham | November 21, 2023

What can I say? Adopting Kai, now McKinley, has been a dream come true for me. I have been wanting a dog and pining after Siberian Huskies since moving to Wisconsin in 2015. It seems like fate that this miniature husky looking dog ended up at the Humane Society of Burnett County. Shout out to…

HERBIE AND OZZY

By Pam Cunningham | November 21, 2023

Thank you for following up with us about Herbie and Ozzy. Sorry for the wait – we are both teachers and life is quite busy right now. We are really happy with both of these little guys. They are so sweet and very cuddly, which is something our current cat (Merlin) didn’t really like to…

JASPER AND JORDAN

By Pam Cunningham | November 8, 2023

Jasper and Jordan are doing great! We kept their original names because we knew them by those names as we followed their adoption journey. Jordan is my favorite and Jasper prefers my husband. My kids love them equally. They are very playful but also are amazing snugglers.

SUNNY

By Pam Cunningham | November 8, 2023

Sunny is doing wonderful!  He and my other adopted Golden, Whisper (had been Lynn Kern’s puppy), are best of friends. I had known Sunny before because he had boarded with me here at AnimaLodge, so when I heard he was at the shelter, I couldn’t leave him there!

TERRANCE

By Pam Cunningham | October 24, 2023

We adopted Terrance (name has stayed the same) on July 1st (he was at the shelter for almost a year) and he very quickly made himself at home. He has had no problem sticking up for himself against our other cat and large dog. He plays with them often and has even livened them up…

ASH (TWIZZLER)

By Pam Cunningham | October 24, 2023

Twizzler, who’s been renamed Ash, is doing wonderfully. My grandson truly loves him because he’s his emotional support cat. Ash fit right in from day one. My two older girl cats still keep him a paws length away but they are just playing hard to get. They enjoy watching him race around and of course all the new…

GHOSTY (GHOST)

By Pam Cunningham | October 24, 2023

The adjustment has been easy with Ghost. We call her ‘Ghosty.” She is absolutely the best girl ever. We love her so much and we can tell she feels the same about us and her new home. She goes on daily walks on a state trail near us and we also take her to the…
