Sending an update on our new girl, Sophie who we adopted on November 8, 2024. Her shelter name was Sophie and we decided to keep that name for her because it fits!

Our new “chocolate puppy” gets along famously with our “butterscotch puppy” named Lizzy who is also a former shelter dog (her name was “Mama” when she was at the shelter).  Sophie is a 2 year old puppy. I think she hasn’t had a lot of previous experiences as everything seems new to her and she is lacking in some of her manners, which we are continuing to work on. She is a smart girl though; she sits, comes when she is called and is doing pretty good on her walks!

She is a very happy, playful girl and loves her toys!  She would play fetch 24/7 if we would cooperate! She is also a good watch dog. No one is going to sneak up while she is on the job!
