POPEYE

Hi! This is Popeye! My mom is helping me write this, since I haven’t mastered using her phone.

I want to let you know I have the most loving family you will ever meet. I hear “I love you” more times than I can count in a day. My dad comes home first and brings me on car rides on most days. He scratches my ears and pets me a lot. I stick pretty close to dad whether we are inside or outside. Dad is training me on an invisible fence. He loves me so much that he wants to make sure I stay in the yard. Speaking of yards, I have a big yard to run and play! My family says I look perfect in our back yard and is something I might not have had.

My boy is something else. He bought me some new toys and I love every one of them. He calls me his little buddy and loves to hug me. I think I need this boy as much as he needs me. If my boy puts a blanket on the couch, then I can sleep close to him. Sometimes my boy is not at home. Mom tells me and reassures me he will be back in a few days. Someplace called college.

Mom takes me out in the morning and before bed. She feeds me, gives me treats, pets me and calls me her little boy. She really likes to kiss me on the nose and tell me she loves me, so I do the same back to her!

I love looking out the window at the cabin and at our home. My family says I look like a meerkat, whatever that is. I have been working hard to show my family how much I love them. I have not had one accident. I don’t chew on anything in the house, not even my one bone that could be chewed. I do not whine when I have to be put in my kennel at bed time or when we go to the cabin. I love to give kisses and will not miss a chance to get pet. My family says I just want to be loved. They are right!
